Rynn @ Queensbay Mall

Today is Christmas Day. I was thinking of going out to somewhere instead of staying at home for nothing. Then suddenly I heard my mother saying that we are going to Queensbay Mall. I followed without questioning. When I reached there, I came to a consent that Rynn is coming for a promotion of his new TV Drama 《高校铁金刚》 along with the other artists.

I bought a set of original DVD of that TV drama and obtained their signature face to face. I shook the hands of each of them. Rynn is very handsome, I'll have to admit that although I feel a little...jealous...LOL. 梁祖仪 looks very pretty, whether in film or reality.

Below are pictures taken in that event.

~My New Earphone~

I've bought the earphone as I said last time. It is Sony Ericsson HPM-82 Walkman Earphone.

>>HPM-82<<

Review:

The package contains the earphone, and 2 extra set of earbuds of different sizes. The regular sized (normal) is fitted on to the earphone by default. However there's a bigger set and a smaller set, for those who has big or small ear holes.

This earphone is basically the same as HPM-70. Contrast to its counterpart, this earphone comes with a remote control. It has 5 buttons with preset function (Play/Pause, Next, Back, Volume Up and Volume Down). The buttons are quite sensitive although there are some critics of it having a delayed response. This is the major advantage of HPM-82 over HPM-70. The remote control is also the reason that I chose this over its counterpart. Imagine you are doing something and you left your phone playing songs in your pocket. It would be convenient if you are able to switch between songs or turn up or down the volume without going all the troubles into you pocket for the phone.

The fast plug is quite easy to be plugged into the phone. However there is a small delay before it is detected by my phone. I wonder if this is a problem from my phone itself or from the earphone.

The volume of music of this earphone is quite loud. I have to put the volume to a low level (3 bigger dots from the left) compared to without it (1 dot from max).

The bass is not bad (tested with Black Eye Peas' Boom Boom Pow), especially when the equalizer of the phone's walkman player is set to MegaBass (only available in Walkman series, try flash it if you want, and if you dare). Clear voices can be heard with an acceptable quality (try Celine Dion's Beauty And The Beast). Overall the sound quality is not bad. I have never tested the other good earphones ($$ factor), but I can assure that this earphone worth the money spent for it.

Something about physics

Few days ago, my friend asked me a question related to normal force:
Is it R cos Ө = mg or mg cos Ө = R
I'll post a picture here

After thinking and asking here and there, I have come to an understanding that it is mg cos Ө = R

Here is my explanation. Tell me if I am wrong.

when no other external forces are acted upon the object, R can only be less than or equal to mg, but not greater than mg. Am I correct?
Therefore when considering the equation
RcosӨ = mg
cosӨ = mg/R
since that mg>R, mg/R > 1
cosӨ = 1 would be impossible
Therefore this equation is wrong.
However when considering the equation
mg cosӨ = R
cosӨ = R/mg
since that mg>R, R/mg < 1
cosӨ < 1
Therefore this equation can be used.

However, under different situation where R is not dependent only on mg, the equation might be different.

A lot has happened...

"A lot a lot has happened..." This sentence can be very very very very familiar to those who has read 'Rosario + Vampire' manga or watched the anime before. I used this word because it certainly happened to me. I did a lot of things in this year-end holiday.

First, I have changed my phone. Well, to be precise, I changed the firmware of my phone. I can't afford to buy a new phone. I wonder why phones are so expensive...I flashed my phone's firmware from K550i to a walkman phone W610i which the sound quality is improved by a lot. The music player also upgraded to walkman player 2.0 which has many new functions compared to the one k550i has. The acoustic driver has been changed, I did not use w610i's original acoustic driver. Instead, I used the one from w880i. It is much much louder and clearer, I am so glad that my phone's speaker can support this strong driver. However, my camera has lost its Cyber-shot logo while engaging the camera function. Although the camera quality is said to be the same as the one before flashing, I changed the camera driver to 'Most High Quality (MHQ) 2.39' driver, hoping to become better. However, I did not find any difference. Maybe it is because I have a bad photo shooting skill, so no matter what camera I use, the photo still is lousy... I plan to change the housing of my phone to w610i's housing, which will then look completely the same as a w610i. Then I will change my earphone to HPM-82. Which should be changed first depends on the price, if you ask me, I will change the earphone first, for better sound quality.
Quality > Appearance

Talked so much, I am not thirsty, better get myself some water. Gulp...So refreshing...okay, let's continue

Then, I went to Genting, for a music party of Rynn - All About Rynn. It looks fun to go to Genting right? wait till you see my schedule...
11/12/09 10.30pm Get on bus (from Kulim First Travel Agency)
12/12/09 2.30am Stop for coffee (drink coffee in the middle of the night?)
12/12/09 3.10am Continue heading towards Genting
12/12/09 5.X0am Reached Genting (First World Bus Station)
12/12/09 6.00am Get queue number and deposit luggage and wait by a bench for 7am
12/12/09 7.00am Take breakfast at First World Cafe (buffet, not bad)
12/12/09 8.00am Go to Arena of Stars' booth but find nobody there, guess have to wait till later
12/12/09 8.20am Do nothing but walk here and there
12/12/09 11.30am Go to the booth again, queued for 30 minutes and got the tickets
12/12/09 12.10pm Buy lunch near the lobby and then eat in hotel room
12/12/09 12.45pm Sleep like pig
12/12/09 6.30pm Wake up and take dinner
12/12/09 7.30pm Heading towards Arena of Stars
12/12/09 10.30pm Music party ends and head back to hotel
12/12/09 11.30pm Too bored, then go for video games
13/12/09 12.20am used Rm10, simtia(心痛), go back to sleep
13/12/09 7.30am Go eat at McDonald (the waiter there can't speak English, wtf)
13/12/09 8.30am Buy newspaper and head back to hotel room
13/12/09 10.00am Watch Tom and Jerry, then Barney and Friends (too bored)
13/12/09 12.00pm Check out and take lunch
13/12/09 1.15pm Get on bus to go home

Very boring right? However the music party was fun. Too bad the people who sit behind me was talking loudly from one end to another end. In between were at least 5 people. Annoying...other than that, it was great. I even registered for Rynn's Official Fan Club. (funny though)

Now I am back in Kulim, hoping to buy the earphone and the housing as soon as possible.

Btw, I forgot to post a new post on 6 Nov 09. I bought a new computer. Here are the specs:

CPU : AMD Athlon II x4 620 2.6GHz
Motherboard : Asus M4A77TD PRO
RAM : Kingston DDR3 1333MHz 1x2GB
HDD : Western Digital 500GB SATA
GPU : Sapphire ATI HD4670 1GB
Optical Drive : Samsung Super Writemaster DVD-RW
PSU : Cooler Master 500W Extreme Power
Chassis : Cooler Master Elite 310
Monitor : Samsung SyncMaster 2243SW 21.5" Widescreen 1920x1080
Speaker (old) : Logitech R-20
Mouse : Logitech Gaming MX-518
Keyboard : Logitech Internet Pro Desktop

Logitech never fails me, mouse, keyboard, speaker (might want to buy a webcam if $$ is not a problem)...even Logitech MOMO Racing Force Feedback.
Samsung monitor is awesome, I love Full HD...
Sapphire ATI HD4670 is cheap while having a moderate gaming graphics capability. This is all I have to say, I LOVE MY COMPUTER!!!!!

Am I weird?

Am I weird? Or am I just the same as the others? I totally do not have any idea about it. Comparing to others, I do have some different opinions towards certain things. I wonder if it is good or bad.

What do you think about 'Joy'? How do you define it? Some people would think that excitement is a joy. Excitement to a certain degree that it becomes dangerous. Let's talk about the joy of driving. What is the joy of driving? Is it fast? Is it to be able to perform tricks that others cannot? Or what it is? For me, I think that the joy of driving is to be able to have a hold on the steering wheel, step on the gas and brake pedals, and make the car moves as I wish. Speed can be gained whenever I want, or drive slowly to relax. It is a kind of freedom to me. Holding the steering wheel, able to go to wherever I want, like a bird flying in the sky. I do not need the skills to do things that enables me to be fast, endangering myself. For example, there are peoples who like to speed and overtake others. Compared to them, I would rather follow the back of the others if I am not in a rush. After all, I am driving with joy, not to rush the time. That is what I call 'Joy of Driving'. To me, 'Joy' can have different meanings for every single person.

Now, how about 'perfect'? What is perfect? Most people have the word perfect referring to something that is the best, and there isn't any flaws or places that can be corrected to a better condition. For me, instead of that, I think perfect is something that can suit the user the most, in the sense of ability or price. For example, when buying a graphics card (a component for computer), everyone knows that the ones considered high-end can have better performance. But that is not something I will choose to buy. Although I do like to have a decent performance card, but I do not think that it is necessary for me. Moreover, the price is sky high, I will never be able to afford it, at least for now. I will choose a card that is suitable and satisfies me, for both performance and price. At the moment, HD5870 is the best card ever released, but I bought an old series HD4670. Why? It is because the performance is good enough for me, medium-high settings for most games, able to play full HD movies, and the price is merely RM290 compared to the sky high 4-digit-priced card. Now, what do you consider as perfect?

These are just my personal opinions. I respects the views of the others even though they might be in conflict with what I think.

Another hour wasted

Yesterday, another hour of my lifespan is wasted again, due to the extended class. Today is another day for kokuri, but instead of getting something to do, we sat down and looked at somebody dancing while the others were either playing badminton, football or scrabble.

Those who were playing badminton, they were playing in an open space which is totally unsuitable for badminton playing. For some reason, they were (or should I use 'are' here? They are still like that now) unable to think of the F of air resistance that might be opposing the direction of the shuttle cock. In order to make the shuttle cock to fly farther, they should use a bigger force so as to cancel out the effect of air resistance. Just because they were not able to use this theory to the fullest extend, they always ended up unable to catch the shuttle cock. Well, I am in no position to talk about others in terms of sports because I am totally no good in them as well. So, no more talking about this. STOP!!!

There were people who played scrabble. I wonder if they were really bored to play it or trying to get better vocab out of it, but most probably just to play it to cancel their boredom. They were unable to get enough vocab to play in English, and they started to play it using both Malay and English. When they played up to a certain point, they stucked. One of them even called their friends through phone just to get a word formed. Funny, isn't it?

At 3pm, class ended and we went home.

Is it insane? Or I am over-reacting??

Today is the third day that I have been forced to stay back in school for the extended period of school time. I have tasted 3 different shops' chicken rice, in Kulim town itself. What can I do? I have only a 30 minute's break and I have to go out for lunch. The food is ok for me, it is just that the money that needed to pay for the food is not ok. RM3 for chicken rice, RM1 for drinks and that would make it RM4 per day.

RM4 x 5 days (1 week) = RM20
RM20 x 4 weeks (1 month) = RM80

Is it insane? Now I really understand that why I must study hard. For MONEY!!! RM80 for 1 meal per day...the amount would be triple if I am going for 3 meals a day. Okay, I am not going to talk more about money, or else everyone will think that I am just an idiot who loves money like shit.

Let's go on to the extended class. I think it is easier to for me to list out what we have been doing for the past 3 days.

Sunday : (chem) We discussed one question which is later found out that the question itself is not fully printed on newer books. Then we did revisions of chemistry on our own till 3pm.

Monday : (pa) We gathered at biology lab, which I do not wish to enter again after I picked physics class. Then we are given 16 questions of problem solvings. I used 1 hour to get them all done, how could I possibly be that slow? Is my brain slowing down? Never mind, so that is what we did till the end of the extended class.

Tuesday : (kokuri) We went to the meeting room. I really don't know how am I going to explain all this. I was expecting some cocurricular activities or discussion, but it turns out to be watching a movie together in the meeting room with an LCD projector. Funny isn't it? Watching movies in school...For that, I have to rush for tuition.

~~~Your legs are so nice!!!~~~
(sorry for this...I was unable to control myself)
The return of Internet Speed
Welcome home, my dear internet connection speed. Do you know how much did I miss you?
I have been using a slow internet connection for a few weeks. It is really really slow. Shit also faster. Can you imagine that when you are subscribing a package which offers you a speed of 1Mbps, but in reality you get a speed lesser than 200kbps?
The download speed of my connection have been something like 20kB/s as the peak. My friend, whom I wish not to announce his name, is subscribing a package which is half of my speed, get a speed higher than mine. I started to wonder why is that so. I called TM Net and asked the operator. They could not help at all. All they can do is to troubleshoot me, like resetting the port, ask me to try direct connection, ping here ping there, try using the speedometer and all sort of stupid things. After I try, they actually asked me to connect the phone line directly to the modem without going through splitter, which means I have to cut off the phone. If the problem still there, then I shall call them again. I called again and they asked me to do the same thing again, and again and again despite I have told them I did this before...
After coming back from my friend's house, I started to become annoyed of my speed. I tried all sorts of things using my spare modem sets, spare phone cable and a laptop. I tried changing the modem. It does not work. I tried changing the phone cable. It still does not work. I almost gave up. Then I tried to disconnect the phone cables and connect through one phone jack (which means all my house phones both upstairs and downstairs cannot be used anymore) and whollaa...the speed is back. I can get a 1.5Mbps speed...I love that speed. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT....LOVE it more than I love her...just joking...there is no such thing as 'her'
The joy of driving a Honda Accord
Wow...I am so happy today. I mean tonight. I finally got to drive a car which worth a price of 6 digits - Honda Accord 2.4
The feeling of sitting in an accord and driving an accord is completely different. I always knew that accord is a stable car with quite a good handling and powerful acceleration. By sitting in the car, you can feel the comfort from the leather seat, the power bass from the speaker, the width of the seat and the coolness of the air-con. The temperature of the air-con in the front seat can be adjusted for both sides separately, which means that if the driver is hot while the passenger is cold, they can have different temperature from the air-con. The seat of an accord is made of leather instead of the cloth cushions. It is very smooth and it can be cold if it is exposed to the aircon for some time. You will have the feeling of classy when you are sitting in that car, I am not kidding, this is how I felt. The radio itself is good compared to normal cars. the volume can be set to a loudness where you yourself cannot stand and want to turn it down. The bass from the speaker is very strong, especially you make the sound loud and you sit at the back. I wonder if the driver will feel the uneasiness when having the loud bass, I did not on the speaker that loud when I drove it tonight. The volume of the radio can be adjusted directly from the steering itself. This is good to keep the driver focused on the road condition. I would say that this is a pro for the car. It is not a question why people would like to own an accord after you sit in an accord yourself. OK, that is for sitting in the accord.
I have been driving a Nissan Serena and a Perodua Myvi. The feeling of driving a good car is totally different. Although the accord is an auto transmission vehicle, its power is higher than some of the manual cars. You can actually feel the boost and the power that push you forward when you step on the accelerator. Although it is very powerful, the force that push you forward is smooth, it is not shaking or having a 'I am working very hard to go fast' feel. When you step on the accelerator even just for a bit, it moves forward to a high speed within seconds. The passenger will not feel that you are going fast. It feels like 20km/h when you are actually driving at 60km/h. I did not try to get to 80km/h or 100km/h because I was supervised by my father and I was not driving on the highway. When you turn the car, the car turns smoothly in a stable manner. you will not feel that you are going too fast when you are cornering at a fairly high speed (for me). The steering is quite loose and you can have a nice grip on the steering, and feel the rotation of your tires.
So...the car is beyond my explanation. If you want to know more about the car, drive it and feel it for yourself. I like that car very much. So now I have to study hard, get a good job with a good salary and buy myself a Honda Accord. It is an honour to have one at home. Banzai Accord!!!
Stay Back in School..
My school has started the system to make us, form 6 students to stay back in the school for an extended period of classes. Although they do not call it lecture session, but it is similar to it. The only difference is that we have a different teacher teaching us.
It is not easy for us to get used to this kind of system. 30 minutes break before the session starts for us to have our lunch. We have to squeeze through the cars, peoples. On top of that, we have a hard time deciding what to eat. There's not much variety here, especially when you only have 30 minutes time for you to go, eat and return. Even if you have decided what to eat, the price of the food is also a killer. Rm3 for a plate of chicken rice, Rm2.50 for wan tan mee. How expensive they are. My pocket money is not enough to cover all these extra expenses. I guess I will have to get more from my mother.
After lunch, back to school. The teacher enters the class. We are supposed to have Kokuri (Cocurriculum) and Penyelidikan (research), but we are asked to study Pengajian Am instead. Why would I have to have extra PA lessons? I did not ask for it. It is ok, what's the big deal? I am just having extra classes with another teacher. The thing is that the subject is PA. I am having 4 subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Math and PA. Why are they prioritizing PA? Yes, we have chemistry as a subject for the extra session, but what about Math and Physics? Are they not important or are we assumed to be good in those subjects or for the worst case, are expected to fail the 2 subjects?
I hope that the school can come up with something better than this. I know they can, the only thing is that will they do it? They are now having this system just to tell the ministry that we have started it. We are among the first to start the system. All I can say is if they want this system to be a success, brainstorm ideas for it instead of make it another normal session-like thing.
Form 6 Society
I don't know why, and I don't really want to know why, form 6 society in SMJK Chio Min is so hopeless and useless. They always spend a lot of time doing something that is not benificial. Take their activity today as an example, They, I mean WE had an annual general meeting. WE voted the new team of committee members. But, the way we vote is unfair. There were 6 candidates, and we have to vote only 1 of them. And guess what, that 'only 1' doesn't mean that you can vote for no one if you are disagree with all of them. There's a vote for a position where I know none of the candidates, need not to mention that I don't know their capabilities. And those did not vote for anyone will be treated as not following the rules. What kind of vote is that? Why must we vote for someone whom I don't really know. Some of them I never talk to or see before, and they just happened to ask me to vote for those people. And Malaysia says that we are a democratic country...
My only hope for them is to NOT to make any stupid activities that will only waste our time. For the sake of STPM, a study group or a brief tutorial session would be a better activity, but they are not doing it. That is the reason where the 4A scorer is not more than 2 students per year (for the best case is 2, otherwise it might be 0). Please.....I am asking for you to make something wise, form 6 is not a year to waste. Not everyone in form 6 is aiming to go to local universities only, some of us aimed to go overseas. If these activities ever make my results go wrong, I will NOT forgive the committee members and this whole society.
Return of my friend
My friend whom I don't wish to reveal his name has come back to Kulim. I am so happy that I nearly couldn't sleep the night before it (just joking, there's no way the sleeper couldn't sleep, right?).
No one can understand the feeling of being alone...perhaps he can understand it well. The feeling of being grouped together with someone you don't want to mix with...someone who has a different lifestyle than us...especially you are someone who can be influenced easily. I really don't want to be influenced into becoming one of them. I don't have the time to go for games everyday. My schedule is tight, unlike the others, I must give myself some time to sleep. Sleeping is important for a sleeper like me.
After 3 weeks of separation, he finally came back. I am very happy about it. Now I don't have to join the other group, I can now revive my old group, although one of our member has gone to pursue his dream somewhere else. I hope that he can get whatever he wants to achieve. Now I have someone whom I can trust to refer to when I have difficulties. For everything, I am just so happy that I want to share it to the whole world. But of course, no one will care about it...hahaha...but.....WHO CARES??!!
Second day of Form 6
Today is the second day since form 6 started. Since morning, all of us have gone through a lot of talks about CoCurricular Activities (CCA) and the subjects we will be taking. About the CCA, as I wrote before, I got a C when I was in form 5, now, unexpectedly, the marks will be continued...which means when others starts from grade A, I start from grade C...this is hard for me as I don't really like to participate in any of the activities...
About the subjects we have to take, I chose Package B which consists of MUET, Pengajian Am, Maths T, Chemistry and Physics.
For MUET I guess I will be getting a good teacher since my first impression on her when she monitored our exam few years ago, is that she can speak well in english, when other teachers will say "please sit back at your own place", she said "everyone please be remain in your respective seat"...I never see such a teacher before...I really do hope that I can get a band 6 in MUET.
For Pengajian Am, I really don't have any idea who will be teaching me...during the briefing of this subject, the other 3 classes' teacher has been told, but for my class, this is still an unknown. I heard that pengajian am would be a modern based history which the timeline is set on now...Do we really have to dig hard into political issues to score this paper? I don't really have any interest in politics...Even so, as a compulsory subject, I will make sure that I score at least an A-.
For Maths T, there will be 2 teachers teaching us...1 for Paper 1, and another for paper 2. Both of the teachers taught me before and I do hope that they can teach better in form 6 syllabus cause STPM Math T is not an easy subject. It requires a lot of thinking skills. But this doesn't horrify me, as I am used to think a lot for math. I never practice hard in math like others who do a lots of exercise to get use to the exam format and how the question will ask, instead of this, I only do hard questions and once I know how to solve it, I will skip to the next question cause the only purpose to do exercise is to know how to do it...and not wasting time, instead of wasting time writing down every methods, I jumped to the next question. Whatever happens, I will try my best to score an A for math T...
For Chemistry...as every form 6 students know, it is very very very very very tough. It consist of a lot of chapters, rumours says that it has 50 over chapters....wonder if I can finish it in time....but no worries, I will seek help from my teachers and friends and my basic for chemistry is not weak as well...so...hopefully A for chemistry will be mine.
For the last one...Physics....my favourite, I basically read through whole physics syllabus although there are some part I cannot fully understand and I don't quite remember what they are, but it does seems that the syllabus isn't hard, so I think that the hard part might the questions...today my physics teacher is absent, so I did not get any briefing in physics subject, even so, I will score it with all my efforts even if I have to become another Rock Lee (genius of hardwork - from Naruto).
Physics stream class......it is almost a gay class....there are only 5 girls out of 20++ people.....how could it be? Could it be that girls are only suitable for memorising? Bio class have all the girls and 5 boys...so.....boys = analytical while girls = memorising? who knows?
First day of Form 6
皆さん
I am back. Today is my first day of form 6 study. I have to go back to my old school which is incredibly slow in everything. They asked us to wait at 8am but....BUT the real thing of the reporting session is at 9am++.....how could they do that? After that, we are told to gather in the meeting room and guess what? Another crap talking session...I really wonder why the teachers like to crap so much, the rules in every school are similar, why would they bother to repeat telling about them?
I felt sad when I went back to the school. All my good friends left me, my best friend went for Kolej Matrikulasi while waiting for JPA scholarship, and another 2 just wait for the scholarship at home, the last 2 of them have gone to Inti college, which means all of us have gone separate ways. Here, I wish all of you, my friends, all the best...be sure to contact me when any of you ever come back to Kulim.
日本語します
今日は、僕はポィフイです、よろしくおねがいします。
Wow, Japanese is soooo nice, I can't believe that I am addicted to it. Actually anime was the thing which made me have interest in Japanese. You see, it's very troublesome if you have to depend on the subtitle when you watch Japanese anime, right? Haizz...it's not easy. It's because I know that I can't learn it within days as we can't master a language in a few days or a few months. Even English or Chinese language, I took more than 10 years to reach the standard as I am now. Although it is not perfect, but I still can understand when others speak to me. For Japanese, I think I'll need a hard work before I can speak it well and understand all those passages. I am hoping for that day to come.
The grammar for Japanese is quite different from chinese which is my mothertongue. Although there are some Kanji (漢字)that I can understand through the meaning of it in chinese, but there are some of them have different meaning. Some of them have different pronounciation under different cases... It's hard to understand why this and why that. Although it is hard, it will never stop me from learning it. I am going to master the language one day and have confidence while speaking that language with others!!!
僕は日本語を絶対降参にありません、皆は見てください
Worries before interview
Oh my god...I've been suffering these few days...It's not that I am not confident in myself but....BUT it's about my clothes. All my friends say that dark colored clothes will be fine, but my father insist on saying that as a student, I must wear white shirt with black pants. Who should I listen to? My dad who interviewed a lot of people, or my friend who never lied to me? Which is the right choice? I am headache about it right now.
Besides the clothes factor, I am worried about the payslip. My father was retrenched since the year 2006, which means that he does not work anymore. Since he is not retiring, he would not get any retiring card or pension letter either. What am I supposed to do when the interviewer asked me about it? How am I suppose to proof it? All of them are banging my head.
Here comes the interview part, What will they ask? self introduction? reason for the choice? reason why I deserved for it? or WHAT? I heard that there will be some group discussion session, but the topics might be something I know nothing about. What should I do then? ARGHH...SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME A GUIDELINE...
Cheng Beng
Haiz...you know what? Today is the most pointless day of the year. I've gone to cheng beng. I know cheng beng is an important religious or racious activity that we must do. I agree that we must go to the grave of our ancestors and pray as a respect of the deceased elders, BUT do we have the need to burn this and that? I saw my aunt buying a few boxes of paper stuffs and a few bags of the so-called golden paper (I'm not sure what it is called in english tough). Are those really necessary?? Can they really receive the things after we burn it? Are you sure it is useful in the afterlife?
It's not only about the paper-burning, we were all made to drink the chinese holy-water (Fu Shui). It's just a drink mixed with a burned paper with the religious writings. Why are we supposed to drink the paper water? Somemore the paper is written by some unknown ink, are those ink good for health?
I am not here to scold about any religion, but as a person without any specific religion, I believes more in science and technology rather than religion's pathway. It's true that religion leads people out of misery, decreased the crime rate by a big amount, BUT...yes BUT, aren't we supposed to think logically instead of follow the what the elders do? Religion teaches us to be good, but we can also be good without the need to have a religion. With that, we will have more free time to do good things (although I use most of the time on computer).
Haizz...if I ever want to blame all this on one person, it would be the person who creates the trend to do all these things. I don't know who he/she is, but the current me would not like to blame on anyone. I believe in god, but I don't believe in any of the religion.
Co-curricular Bastard Activities
I have a few days more to prepare before it's my turn to go for interview for the holy JPA scholarship. I've been waiting, expecting, hoping, and jumping up and down to get the scholarship. It can be said as the only way for me to go overseas without having to study in form 6. Although I don't deny that form 6 is good for a person who is willing to study and have a big chance to get cgpa 4.0, but I am sad to say that IF....it's only IF, but IF I really needs to study in form 6, this is gonna be my hard time to solve my co-curricular activities problem. You see, I'm going to stay in the same school as I was in form 5 or any previous years, this means that I need to participate in all those boring, increative, pointless activities that all the clubs and societies made. Because of this, I got a C for my co-curriculum grade. Somehow they are thinking that those activities are good as they have been making those activities every year since the year the club has established. But people...LOOK...they have been making those so-called 'games' every year because of the same thinking!! If it was stopped for a short 1 year, this tradition will be ended. In my opinion, I really do think that the 'games' was held just to fill in the yearly activity column for the reports. It is just a thing to proof that they are actually making some sort of activities and are active!!
I am not here to scold or look down on anyone or any society or club, but I really have the need to ask all of you to do me a favour. LOOK OUT OF THE BOX!!! Don't square yourself into a small frame of activities, use your imaginations, there are plenty of activities that can be made, much more fun games to be played. If your creativity is so bad, get someone else who can think to be the leader of activities. The committee members are not just for the names, but for their skills. Some committee members of the clubs find that it is easier to follow their predecessor and do nothing big for their own. None of them actually wants to take on the responsibility to make their year of leadership the golden times of the club.
As many of my friends know, I've been in a uniform unit as the vice president. The president of the unit is too full of herself. I do not wish to tell who she is, but there are times where I cannot accept her doings. It's like a 1-man-rule unit. I do not like this to happen, but there's no chance of stopping it as the teacher-in-charge is supporting her ways all the times. This can be compared to the politics. If the prime minister is supported by the YDPA, the chance for the other minister to pull him down is negligible, isn't it? I do not wish to talk about politics here.
I object this situation to continue. Although I cannot afford to let my co-curriculum grade to drop to C again, but I will stand up against the leader and try to against the one-man-rule system. I do not mean that I will be a better leader than they are, but I do have a better point of view which I would like to share among all of them. If they really can come up with some creative activity, I am 100% positive that it will attract more members to participate, and thus rises the fame of the club.
